WTS CONTOURED TRIGGER WORK

WTS’ CONTOURED TRIGGER offers significant degrees of ADDITIONAL trigger control on the HK 91/93/94 by changing the trigger's shape so that the finger has better leverage on the trigger.

The bottom half of the trigger is replaced with a specially shaped 3/8” wide, solid steel, trigger that is TIG welded to the tip half of the original trigger and painted to match the rifle's finish.

After installation, the trigger assembly receives additional fitting so that creep specifications are reduced to .03” when measured from the TIP of the trigger.

This new trigger shape produces additional leverage and trigger control in three basic ways:

1.  Finger pressure is applied at the TIP of the trigger where the finger has maximum leverage - thus reducing the   Standard trigger work’s normal pull weight by 1 to 2#.

2.  Finger pressure is exerted directly rearward in the same direction that the trigger must move in order to cause hammer/sear disengagement.

Some semi-auto rifle trigger shapes cause the finger to exert pressure up, down or sideways against the trigger RATHER THAN directly rearward in the same direction that the trigger must move in order to cause hammer/sear disengagement.

When this mis-direction of finger pressure exists, MORE pressure must be applied to the trigger that its pull weight and mechanical energy values would indicate. 

As an example, the issue HK 91/93 trigger shape requires approximately 7# of finger pressure to move a 6# trigger.

3.  The trigger shape allows the finger to be positioned so that it applies pressure at the first joint where maximum pressure can be applied with minimum physical effort - thus creating the same effect as using two fingers to move the trigger instead of just one.
