WTS STANDARD TRIGGER WORK

For the most part, the long and heavy trigger pulls found on semi-auto rifles are caused by unpolished and unfitted parts which rely on heavy spring tension and wide ranges for proper functioning.

WTS’ STANDARD trigger work emphasizes polishing and fitting these parts so that there is no UNNECESSARY parts movement, binding, friction or resistance during normal cycling.

After this fitting and polishing has been done:

1. Trigger creep specifications will have been reduced to the point (.03”) that there is  very little, if any, perceptible trigger movement DURING hammer/sear  disengagement;

2. The trigger’s original pull weight will have been reduced to a natural pull weight  range that is determined solely by the trigger’s basic design and the degree of  spring tension in the individual assembly.

3. A NON-ADJUSTABLE trigger stop will have been installed, if necessary, to  eliminate all UNNECESSARY over-travel.

Depending upon trigger design, WTS’ Standard trigger work can be expected to reduce a trigger’s original pull weight between 25% and 67%.  Original creep specifications will be reduced between 25% and 80%.

As a result, pull weight reductions will not be significant on light pull weight triggers because spring tension is INCREASED after fitting so that there is AT LEAST a 1# difference in pull weight between the first and second stages of trigger pull.
